i just want to start off by saying sorry about having a couple of posts off from blogging; via twitter i had mentioned that i had a health scare last week and although i tried to power on from it pretending it was okay half way through the week it got all a bit too much and i made the decision to give myself a little bit of a break until my heart was back into it. not everything is sorted just yet, more doctor appointments next week but i'm feeling more motivated after a break. so don't worry i'm back shooting with the lovely amy from www.thegirlinthebowlerhat.com tomorrow and fingers crossed we are back on track with the outfit posts as i have some amazing collaborations in the pipeline which i cannot wait to show you.
sometimes when you are wandering through a shopping centre and just want to sit down and have a quick bite to eat, you don't really know where to go do you? besides well-known established restaurants; nandos, wagamamas, yo! sushi, you get my point, so it's nice to be blogging about a local pit stop area in the eldon square gardens in newcastle that has a great unique vibe to it and still provides great tasting food that doesn't break the bank! first of all i love how it was designed as it does make you feel like you are in a garden, picnic area but in the comfort of indoors. that great earthy atmosphere is something that really drew me into the place and made me decide to stop and have a bite to eat. i decided to go for the pulled pork brioche with fries (it comes with sweet potato fries but i swapped, oops) but i can't wait to go again to try there picnic hamper. think of afternoon tea but served on a minature picnic table for you to pick at. great food, great atmosphere. can't recommend enough.
Love Garden Kichen, it's one of my favourite lunch destinations and believe me those picnic benches are epic - you really do have to try one.
ReplyDeleteLast time I blogged about GK one of the grumpy security men in Eldon Garden told me off for taking photos. I kid you not! I explained what I was doing but he wasn't interested. I went to speak to the info point at Eldon Square and they said photography is allowed in Eldon Square but not Eldon Garden. Luckily they agreed with me that it's absolutely stupid!
