Quick tea break with UGG

28/03/2015

what i'm wearing:
oh my love london lace shift dress* (similar)
missguided sleeveless black trench coat*
dolce & gabanna sunglasses C/O shade station
UGG australia darling seaweed ankle boots*
daniel wellington classic sheffield watch*
gel nails and art by skullen nail design

so as this goes live i'll have just done one hefty seven and a half coach journey to london (yuck!). it's all in the name of a great weekend with my other half; checking into citizenM hotel bankside and seeing noel gallagher at the royal albert hall this evening. if you're interested to see what i'll be doing during my stay; more specifically eating, you can keep up to date with my social channels which are all linked at the bottom of this post. getting on today's outfit post here are a few quick shots from the other day whilst in newcastle with hannah and sarah. it worked well for photos as it was nice to finally have some decent weather for once. not having to go sit indoors to eat/drink felt like a real luxury, can you believe how long it's been since it's been warm outside? in particular us northerners. when heading out for a day of shopping i think practicality with your outfit is key. if you're anything like me, i have learnt many a time that certain shoes are not great for endless hours walking around. thankfully UGG australia came to my rescue with these ankle boots with a sheepskin insole for maximum comfort all day long. considering this was the first time i had worn them i can guarantee that at no point did i feel any discomfort, and most importantly they didn't cause any god-awful blisters which new shoes normally plague you with. not only that but i think that they look great, and will be a classic style to wear all year round. for spring they'll be great paired with some black skinny jeans or braving it bare legged with loose swing dresses. don't be put off by the idea of the boots being sheepskin lined, especially with it getting warmer. it doesn't feel heavy or 'slipper-like' on your feet as the trademark UGG lining is designed to wick away any moisture. not wanting to appear too casual, instead of jeans i opted for a loose shift dress from oh my love london. it's stunning and i feel bad that i haven't blogged about it sooner, it was gifted to me when i had my hiatus for mental health issues at the end of last year. my outfit choice became a very clever decision due to a monumental amount of tapas in las iguanas being consumed by all three of us shortly afterwards. food baby successfully hidden, check. although a very minimal look i still think it's stylish, do you agree?
