thank you raddison blu for putting me and charlotte up for the night!
so a couple of weekends back i headed down to manchester for the weekend and luckily i was treated to a one night staying at the radisson blu edwardian hotel. when i go away for the night, there is only one thing i really need from my hotel and that is a good bed so i can sleep. radisson blu definitely did not disappoint as it had one THE comfiest of beds. as soon as i walked into my room it had the luxurious factor with nifty gadgets such as an espresso machine, beautiful wall art and a stunning view.
this hotel is in a prime location; only a ten minute walk to the centre, so you'd be in close reach of a number of great bars and restaurants. for catching up with charlotte and hannah, radisson blu kindly treated the three of us to a two course meal at the steak & lobster, their in-house restaurant. no guesses needed for what you can order, right? i've always preferred steak but i thought i'd be brave and try lobster for the first time ever. all orders are accompanied with unlimited fries and maybe one of the best side salads i've ever tasted. they also have vegetarian options too of risotto, which went down pretty well with hannah. after a bottle of wine to share (thanks for helping up start the night!) we headed out to oast house in spinningfields and then the liars club until 4am. as i'm an old soul despite being only twenty one, i was absolutely crippled in the morning from being so sleep deprived. i am not made for the party lifestyle. even if the music kept us staying for "just one more song" all night. at least we had a good spread at breakfast, a full english (continental options to if you're that way inclined) and a couple of pastries with endless cups of tea. my highlight was definitely sitting in the humongous bath at 8am with plenty of bubbles and being able to rest my cup of tea on the side. i thoroughly enjoyed my time albeit brief, but would 100% return again and cannot recommend enough. the staff were beyond helpful and the whole experience was smooth sailing. manchester is my adopted home; i always feel incredibly sad when it's time to leave.
